Illinois Watch Co. was not behind to see the good reception that wristwatches received during WWI and felt the time has come for expanded wristwatch manufacturing. Without a doubt, the company maintained an obsession for every detail, producing timepieces that are not just exciting, but also elegant and extraordinarily well-crafted.

Illinois Watch Co. was one of the premier American watch manufactures. The Illinois Canby was introduced in 1923 and made for several years with with some variations.
This GORGEOUS timepiece is an original Illinois Rectangular or better known as Illinois Canby, dated from 1929; just a year after Hamilton bought Illinois Watch Co.
It has a high quality mechanical mechanism, a manual-winding watch 6/0s size, 17 jewels movement, grade 905, sub second hand, made in Springfield, Illinois.
This watch is over 90 years old (most Illinois models are that) and still has a silver satin dial with bold Arabic Numerals, minute marks and matching hands. As always popular, the second hand is located at 9 pattern. The dial is signed "ILLINOIS".
This watch is the plain rectangular case in 14k gold filled. It is coming with a vintage brown leather strap. It is a very attractive looking watch, a very unique design. It is in LOVELY condition, runs very well and it keeps great time!
