Offered here today is a collectible timepiece: a vintage NOS (New Old Stock) ladies Glycine Compressor automatic wristwatch, reference 365.201, dating from the 1960s.

This self-winding watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement and features a sweep seconds hand and a day/date display with quick-set function.

The “Compressor” designation refers to a case construction concept used during the period in which water pressure helps tighten the caseback gasket, improving water resistance as depth increases.

The original dark brown dial is accented by applied baton hour markers at 3,6,9,12 o'clock, a white printed minute/second track on the inner bezel, and matching hands. The day (in Spanish) and date display is positioned at the 6 o’clock position.

It is housed in a striking 28mm asymmetrical stainless steel case. The design reflects the bold late-1960s “TV case” aesthetic.

This example remains in New Old Stock condition and is fitted with a brand-new black two-piece leather strap.

Fully inspected and authenticated, the watch is running well and is ready to wear and enjoy.
