Offered here is a vintage Omega Flightmaster chronograph wristwatch, reference 143.013, dating to approximately 1969 based on the movement serial number.

The Omega Flightmaster was introduced in the late 1960s as a professional chronograph designed specifically for pilots and international travelers. Its distinctive case design and multiple timing functions were created to assist with navigation and timekeeping across different time zones, making it one of Omega’s most recognizable aviation watches of the era.

It is powered by the original Omega caliber 910 manual-wind chronograph movement, featuring 17 jewels, a central chronograph seconds hand, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, and a 24-hour indicator combined with a day/night display, along with a GMT hand for tracking a second time zone. The movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers an approximate power reserve of 40 hours.

The brown dial features applied hour markers, luminous hands and indexes, and distinctive colored hands for improved legibility, including an orange chronograph seconds hand and a blue GMT hand. The chronograph sub-dials are arranged with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a 24-hour day/night indicator at 9 o’clock. An internal rotating bezel allows for additional time tracking.

The watch is housed in a large 43mm stainless steel oval case. The chronograph pushers operate in the traditional configuration: the upper pusher starts and stops the chronograph, while the lower pusher resets the counters after the chronograph has been stopped. The crown at 10 o’clock adjusts the GMT hand for tracking a second time zone, while the crown located on the lower left side rotates the internal bezel for timing intervals.

It is fitted with its original stainless steel Omega bracelet. The watch remains in very good vintage condition, fully inspected and authenticated by our in-house watchmaker, and is running accurately.
